Option 1: Using phpMyAdmin (Database Method)
Change Password:

Login to cPanel.

Go to phpMyAdmin.

Select your WordPress database from the left sidebar.

Click the
wp_userstable. -
Click Edit next to the user you want.

In the
user_passfield:-
Change function to
MD5. -
Type your new password.
-
-
Click Go to save.
Change Username:
-
In the same
wp_userstable, click Edit next to the user. -
Change the
user_loginvalue to your new username. -
Click Go.
Option 2: Using Softaculous / WordPress Manager by cPanel
This is the easiest method for beginners if Softaculous is available in your cPanel.
Steps:

Login to cPanel.

Scroll down to the Softaculous Apps Installer section or WordPress Manager by cPanel.

Click on WordPress.
-
You’ll see a list of installed WordPress sites.

Find your site and click the Edit / pencil icon.

Scroll to Admin Account section.
-
Change the Admin Username or Admin Password as needed.
-
Click Save Installation Details or Save Changes.
✅ Done! You can now log in to WordPress with your new credentials.
⚠️ Notes:

If you're locked out of WordPress, Softaculous is a quick recovery tool.
-
Changing usernames via dashboard is not allowed in WordPress, so database or Softaculous methods are best.
