Please check your account details now — this affects the receipt you will receive.
We are preparing to issue TRA fiscal receipts (EFD) automatically for payments made to NetPoa. This is not active yet. We are telling you in advance so you have time to get your records right before it starts.
What will change
Once it is switched on, every paid invoice will automatically receive a TRA fiscal receipt. A QR code will appear on your invoice in the client area and on the PDF you download. Anyone can scan it to verify the receipt directly with the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
You will not need to request a receipt. It will simply be there.
What we need you to do
The fiscal receipt is issued to whatever is on your NetPoa account — the name, address and tax details we hold. If those are wrong, the receipt will be wrong, and a receipt cannot be edited once TRA has accepted it.
Please log in and check:
- Company or personal name — exactly as it should appear on a tax document.
- Address and phone number.
- Tax ID — this is your TIN, and it is the field that matters most. Without it, your receipt is issued as a walk-in sale with no buyer details, which your accountant cannot use to claim anything. You will find it under Billing Address on your account details page.
- VRN — only if you are VAT registered.
To update: log in, go to Hello, Your Name → Update Account Details (or Account → Account Details), make your changes and save.
Important for resellers, web designers and agencies
If you manage your clients' hosting from your own account, the receipt will be issued in your name, not your client's.
That is correct if you buy from us and re-bill your clients yourself. But if your clients pay for their own services and need a receipt in their company name, they need their own NetPoa account.
You do not have to hand over passwords or lose access to do this. Our guide shows how to keep managing every client from one login, using invitations instead of shared passwords:
How to Manage Multiple Client Accounts at Netpoa Without Storing Passwords
In short: create a master account for yourself, a separate account for each client under their own email and company details, then have each client account invite your master account with full permissions. You manage everything from one dashboard, each client is billed in their own name, and each receives their own correct fiscal receipt.
If you are currently running client services under one personal account, please sort this out before we activate receipts. Moving services afterwards does not move receipts that have already been issued.
When
We will confirm the activation date in a follow-up announcement. Nothing changes on your account until then.
